Morris County Park Police

Park Watch Volunteer Program

The Morris County Park Police Park Watch Volunteer Program is a program that has been designed to enhance overall public safety in the Morris County Park System. The department is encouraging community involvement in an effort to observe and report unlawful activities in the parks. It is anticipated that the public will develop an increased  sense of awareness and responsibility which will enhance the level of  cooperation and communication between citizens and the Morris County Park Police. The program will rely on volunteers who give their time to patrol numerous areas within New Jersey's largest county park system at approximately 20,000 acres and 150 trail miles.  Patrols can be accomplished  on foot, bicycle or horseback. Participants will then report any public safety issues to the Morris County Park Police. Park Watch volunteers should only observe report and NOT take any action to confront or intervene in any unlawful situations that may be observed. That is the responsibility of the Morris County Park Police.

Volunteers will be encouraged to observe and report :
